Fun Monday "Security Blankets"

Hosted by Karina at Candid Karina

"I want to see your security blankets. No, not the kind Linus carries around with him in the Charlie Brown cartoons, although, if you have one of those, by all means share it. What I want to see are the items you just cannot leave home without. What is it that if you leave your house without, you feel naked, incomplete, not quite right? This can be one thing or many things. And since most of us don't live in a clothing optional society, lets just assume we all leave the house fully dressed...I want to hear about those other things...the extras. The things that make women's purses so heavy and men's pockets so messy (I'm going to get grief for this one, aren't I?) What can't you leave home without? Show us pictures, tell us stories...have fun!"

I awes caer my pocketkives becase I just mit ned it.

I have my lethermen for stuof.

Hey Izzak

Great idea to carry the 'things' you need for 'daily' usage and so practical too...

Luv the cap - and it is your 'comfort' blanket - which you like to wear - good for you....

As you may know - my 'comfort' blanket is my pipe - never without..

Keep posting and enjoy the day

Great cap, Izzak. My husband buys all of his tools from SnapOn and all he ever got was a crummy calendar!

Izzak - I love the picture of the dog on your blog - that is too cool!

Yeah, you never know when you might need a pocket knife or a leatherman - handy little tools!

I have to laugh at your mom trying to throw away your hat. My mom used to try to throw away my favorite shirt...it drove me nuts. So, to this day, I never try to throw away anything of my kid's that they love!

I can never figure out how to open that 2nd tool...I'm hopeless!

Hey Izzak! those are some great knives...and that leatherman looks very useful! So your mom tries to throw away your hat eh? Well...I have to admit that sometimes I throw away things of my kids that I don't like too. I just tried to throw away one of Janelle's favourite shirts today. It's a summer tank top that she loves and wants to wear even when it's cold...so don't tell her but actually I have it in a bag right now to go to the thrift store! It won't fit her next summer and I hope she forgets she had it!!
Keep on writing Izzak! way to go!!

Great work Izzak. You keep wearing that hat. Its good to see a boy with sun sense. (You are wearing it to keep the sun off right? Of course you are!)

Don't let your mom throw that hat away! It looks well loved.
I used to carry a pocket knife when I was a little girl because we lived on a farm, my dad had one, and my older brother had one. I never knew when I might have to cut something! I think I only ended up cutting my finger though...

My daughter who is turning 13 next week, has a white (not anymore) hat that has a rim very much like that. It looks like that, because she wore it for 2 years less a month. It was quite the visual sentence for the rest of us. She started wearing it June 30th 2005 and stopped wearing it at the beginning of June this year. She has worn it once or twice since. My son has some pocket knives and my husband has a Leatherman. That is a good display of security items.
